About the Role
As a Barista at Hungry Ghost, you will be the face of our coffee experience, crafting exceptional beverages and creating welcoming interactions that keep customers coming back.
You will master the art of coffee preparation while delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining our high standards, and contributing to a positive team environment that reflects our commitment to quality and community.
Focus
- Preparing high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks, pour-overs, and specialty drinks according to company standards.
- Providing exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, equipment, and dining areas.
- Operating espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment with precision and care.
- Managing inventory, restocking supplies, and assisting with opening/closing procedures.
- Working collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Learning about coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles to educate and engage customers.
Ideal Experiences
- Previous barista or customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Passion for coffee and interest in learning about coffee culture and preparation techniques.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for creating great customer experiences.

Hourly Wage Range
$14 - $16 per hour plus tips (~9$ per hour)
